Robinson started his job as a reporter and anchor in Washington, D.C., eventually signing up with ABC News in 1978 as a co-anchor on “Globe News Tonight.” His consultation was groundbreaking, as it marked the first time a major network had positioned a Black journalist in such a popular placement.
Robinson’s tenure at ABC was notable for his efforts to cover tales connected to racial and social justice concerns. He faced challenges and racism in his occupation yet made substantial strides in breaking down barriers for African Americans in the field of journalism. Robinson’s payments to the media sector paved the way for future generations of minority reporters. He died in 1988 at the age of 49
